When our secretary was unable to attend the October 17, 2008 Quarterly Meeting, Tracy Yoder jumped right in at the last minute and, without prepreparation, took the minutes for us. For those who might not know, Tracy is the airport manager from Clinton Regional Airport and is the OAOA Northwest Regional Director.
Volunteers were requested to help work the OAOA booth at the Oklahoma Municipal League's conference held in Oklahoma City Sept 2- 4 and the membership came through. Lots of contacts were made encouraging new membership as well as some renewals with new airport managers.
Our thanks go out to the following OAOA members for being such great representatives of OAOA: Steve Mushrush; Aaron Barth; George Hargett; Jim Thrash; Walt Strong; Gary Johnson; Terry Jessup; Don Nuzum; David Scott; Joyce Benge; Schellon Adkins; and Pam Lankford
Frank Bice of LBR, Inc. is a great supporter of OAOA and has done such a good job of designing and putting together our Conference Programs the last several years that we can't begin to thank him enough, but now we have yet another reason to do so. The mystery is now revealed. He is the one who developed and donated our new logo. Thanks again, Frank!
Appreciation goes to Terry Hall for making the Ada arrangements for our July Quarterly meeting. He chose a lovely setting in Ada's Wintersmith Park and selected a great caterer. Thanks for playing host, Terry; you did such a great job, we will let you do that again sometime!
A standing ovation for all your efforts at the conference! We appreciate your selecting our audio-visual equipment, putting all the programs together and making it all run for us. You gave the presentations the polished and professional look that we were seeking and you made it look effortless. Also, we thank you for your assistance in setting up those presentation highlights so they can be downloaded from this website. Atta boy, Curtis!
