Pilot Looses Sight During Solo Flight; Lands Safely

During a flight from Scotland to southeastern England, a pilot suffered a stoke which left him blind.  Luckily, a Royal Air Force military pilot was able to talk him down safely.

TSA Unveils Security Restrictions On Large Aircraft Requires Implementation Of "Approved" Programs

The days of relatively unfettered travel onboard large business aircraft
may soon come to an abrupt end. Thursday morning, the Transportation
Security Administration (TSA) unveiled its proposed rule that will govern
operations for all aircraft weighing more than 12,500 pounds, which would
require those operators to implement an approved security program.

Response to a UK Government-Appointed Committee Proposal That International Flights be Included in Restrictions

According to the UK's Airport Operator's Association (AOA),  the UK Government-appointed Climate Change Committee recommends that incoming international flights should be included in an effort to reduce carbon emissions in the UK by 80% by 2050.  

The AOA Executive Chairman Ed Anderson called the findings "counterproductive".  He went on to say:
